At the present time women are living a time of challenges. The Feminist Movement has opened doors and has initiated changes –above all of a social nature. It has also made us aware of the passivity and submission that has traditionally characterised womankind over the centuries.

But all this is not enough. The time has come to explore and take on board the new possibilities that feminism in its day opened up for us. The way promises to be long and weary, but exciting. What is involved is the modification of very deep-rooted behaviour, and above all the exploring the unconscious mechanisms of women, their fears, insecurities, obsessions, confusions, demands on themselves, lack of self-esteem, difficulties in expressing their feelings... what is at issue here too is finding a new way of relating to the body.

There is no need to travel this road alone Yo, tú: nosotras is an enormously suggestive work, an invitation to work together. Through the experiences of a women's personal growth and self-affirmation group, the book sets out to make us aware, to understand, the many-faceted experiences of women. And, in this way, to seek to develop, together, the means to realise the objectives of the women of today. The challenge is to create a meeting place in which to find the support to be able to continue advancing.

About the author:

Merce Collet i Sabe is a social worker and has organised humanist psychology workshops. Rosa Maria Ferrer i Pineda trained as a technical engineer and works in the industrial sector. Fina Pla i Vila has a degree in Philology and Psychotherapy; she has specialised in Gestalt psychotherapy, Bioenergetic Analysis and Relational Psychomotricity.
