Paths in the Garden of the Earth
Original title:
Senderos en el jardín del corazón. Poética de la kábala
About the book:
Paths in the Garden of the Earth
Out of all the systems or models of thought, there is none to match the Cabala in its modernity. Poetic and critical at the same time, this ensemble of rules and moves, located closer to art than science, disarticulates the Bible – the foundation of Western culture – and sets out, in successive readings, to unite the constancy of the written tradition with the variability of oral transmission. Its vision of letters and numbers as a sort of atomic dance, dynamise the verses until the student feels the supreme experience in their own flesh, the formation of the word in its primogenic vibration, the liberation of the spirit. Figures of great historical relevance such as Pico della Mirandola, Reuchlin, Blake, Jung and others have looked to it and seen that, feature by feature, the image of the sacred heart in Christian iconography is none other than the representation, spatially speaking, of what the Cabala expresses ideographically. Between the wings of time – it gathers up, again and again, what history has abandoned.
Like the crystal networks of minerals, the thirty-two paths of wisdom descried by the Cabala go deeply into the very bases of our material universe, to the roots of our organic being, to then ascend gradually towards consciousness. The end of the Cabalistic search is the discovery of Oneself.
