In Loving Bonds love is presented as an inner journey, as a process in constant transformation and, also, as an art: the art of sharing, of harmony seeking, of creation.

One of the theses that the writer puts forward is that as life is a life experience, the way in which it is expressed is partly if not largely learned. Furthermore, the structure of our society divides the masculine from the feminine, so that men and women are taught to love in different ways. The result is incomprehension, lack of communication, and suffering. For this reason, one of the book's aims is to find a common language that will allow us to rediscover ourselves, to reencounter ourselves as as people and establish peaceful relationships.

“Rencounter therapy” – which is the label the writer uses to refer to her method – is a method which approaches a loving universe from a multidisciplinary perspective that combines psychology and sexology in the educative and communitarian sense.

Thus in the design of each chapter, there are exercises to do, questions intended to get the reader to set up an inner dialogue and to deepen inner understanding and avenues of self-help.
