Abdelmumin Aya
Mohammad´s Secret
Original title:
El secreto de Muhammad. La experiencia chamánica del Profeta del Islam
About the book:
Mohammad's Secret
This book reveals astonishing facts about the Prophet, drawing on incontestable sources. We are told who were his childhood mentors, and how the stones and the camels spoke to him, how he listened to the dead, how he was the victim of the evil eye, or how he exorcised the possessed.
There are no taboos in this book. The long-standing thesis that messenger of Al-lâh was mad is considered, and certain features of his behaviour are compared with those of the diviners of the desert.
Abdelmumin Aya shows us with unusually attractive style and rigour how Islam inherited the magic sensibility of the men upon whom Revelation descended. Thanks to the universal Islamic validity of the sources used by the writer, the Muslims who might feel tempted to reject the information in this book will consequently have to deny the reliability of Bujari o Muslim, and turn their back on the science of the hadizi. Only in that way can they reinvent an Islam according to their tastes.
