Develop Your Emotional Intelligence

The mastering of our capacity to perceive, understand, use and regulate our emotions and those of others, what has come to be known as emotional intelligence, is a question of practice that is consolidated and enhanced over the course of our lives.

The purpose of this very practical book is to help people to develop these emotional skills in a natural fashion. With this aim, the book provides a series of exercises for each of the basic skills of this type. These exercises are presented much as if they were recipes, in order to help the reader's comprehension, but at the same time seeking to be as effective as possible. In this respect the authors, like good cooks, have tried out the “recipes” in different courses on emotional intelligence, and have discarded those that have not worked. This volume, then, is the result of years of practical training in emotional intelligence received by hundreds of people.

Pablo Fernández Berrocal, lecturer in psychology at the Universidad de Malaga, is co-author of the book Intelligent Hearts (also published by Kairos).

Natalia Ramos Díaz lectures in psychology at the Universidad de Malaga, and has published articles in many scientific journals in Spain and elsewhere. She is co-author of the book Intelligent Hearts.
